Mackinder Intelligence

Mackinder Intelligence Group is a Singapore-based geopolitical research firm I co-founded with CEO Nigel Li, where I serve as CTO and CIO. Its mission is to advance the study of geopolitics as both an art and a science, with a focus on Eurasia, particularly Central Asia and the Caucasus.

Research on the region tends to sit behind academic paywalls or be filtered through ideological priors that do not reflect on-the-ground reality. Mackinder is structured to platform local expertise over distant commentary, and to present its work in formats non-specialists can actually use.

The firm operates across three areas. The Mackinder Map is an interactive geopolitical visualisation tool examining power, resources, and geography across Eurasia. The investment facilitation practice connects global investors with Central Asian opportunities and advises firms preparing for international stock exchange listings. The water sustainability initiative partners with technology firms to address Central Asia's water stress challenges.
